ESC, often referred to as anti skid goes by many names: GM StabiliTrac, Ford
AdvanceTrac, Chrysler Electronic Stability Program, Subaru Vehicle Dynamics
Control, Volvo Dynamic Stability Control, Honda Vehicle Stability Assist, and
Toyota Vehicle Stability Control.

No matter what they call it, a stability control system uses an array of
sensors to detect a loss of traction in the vehicle.

Combining the ABS, with lateral and longitudinal G Sensors, Steering Angles
Sensors & Electronic Throttle Control, the goal is to keep the vehicle on its
intended path.
